Keep Moving

Some days you absorb emotions
And some days you purge emotions
Sometimes you feel
And sometimes you let others feel
It's a wheel
It sometimes need oiling
It sometimes encounters rubble
And violent turbulence
But the wheel still comes a full circle
And starts over again.
It's time to reset the wheel
With new shock absorbers
With new treads
On new paths.
And the wheel moves smoother
And faster
And stronger.

Watching the clock

Some days you count minutes
As they fly by
Giving you whiplash

Some days you count minutes
As they crawl by
Willing you to wait

Some days come
Some days go
Some days just happen
Some days aren't worth trackin'

Some days you wait patiently
With a smile on your face
The epitome of grace

Some days you crave
Instant gratification
And a quickened pace

Some days come
Some days go
Some days just happen
Some days aren't worth trackin'

Some days I think of you
Standing by my side
Totally content

Some days you seem like
A faded memory
Hacked by reality

Some days come
Some days go
Some days just happen
Some days aren't worth trackin'

Broken Time

Everyone's busy
Everyone has no time
Everyone looks happy
Even with a fucked up mind.

Once in a while
A drink or two
Catching up with friends
A dinner or two.

But everyone's busy
Everyone has no time
Everyone looks happy
Even with a fucked up mind.

Once in a while
I reach out to you
To distract me a little
A joke or two.

But everyone's busy
Everyone has no time
Everyone looks happy
Even with a fucked up mind.

Tempermental ticking

Some days just crawl by
Waiting for a purpose
They stutter and stagger
And trip and stumble
Your thoughts seem
Almost a mumble.

Some days speed by
As if on steroids
Hustling and bustling about
They zig and zag
With thoughts so loud
They're almost just a blur

More times than not
They wriggle by
Without a thought
They startle you
With their mundaneness
The uneventful
Tick- tock

Delusional Humanity

We buy our luxurious cars
And diamonds that shine so bright.
We boast of jobs and talents
And those damn salary hikes.
We promise to help others
The ones who really are in need
But once those bonuses come
We just give in to greed

We says we'll educate the poor
Help them build a life
Then we look for job experience
Those B-School sell-outs and the like
We tell the less qualified
That they need to learn some more
We don't offer them the training
That can help through that door

We save for our retirement
We talk of our life when old
We ignore our friendships
Often they grow mould
Then we judge the people
They make time for the wise
They choose a different life
And then we call them trite.

It beckons me-every time

Rivets and knobs
Pickups and strings
Tease a tune
Provoking a beat
Challenging the bass
To keep up the pace
While the lead
Pitches in
At a feverish rate

Once in a while
The keys chime in
More often than not
A voice contorts
Filling the silence
Otherwise bare
This music so good
This music so rare
When in harmony they are
That's when I'm there.

A blast from my past!

People from your past
Flood your present mind
Memories and thought
While you unwind.
From far away destinations
Perfect suggestions
Of communication
Their intention.
Welcome.
You're here.
I am glad.
Nice to see you.
It has been too long.
We had not kept in touch.
We were both too busy.
Unlike three years ago.
We had fun.
Partied hard.
Crammed.
Assignments.
Our nightmare.
Deadlines looming threateningly.
Where have you been?
Suddenly appearing in my thoughts.
I'm happy too see you again.
Welcome to my mind again.
Let us chat again.
Tell me more.
What's up?
Hello!

A taste of time-a waste of time

Traveling around
Searching for naught
can be a cool passtime
For a certain sort.
Some hound you
Some chat
Some say hello
And that's that.
Some compliment you
Some befriend you
Some speak rot
And totally offend you
Some look to tease
Some look for cheese
Others can't spell for peas.
For the love of God! please!
Surfing the net
Puts you at ease
But for some its their goal
Go get a life! Jeez!
A few chat coherently
Some even friendly
Some make you chat
And listen most patiently
Surfing the net
Just waiting for you to stop
Well if you don't say much
Expect that I'll talk
Speech is my thing
It's what I do
But if you're not really around
Then I'll write to you!

Escape from Reality

The sounds that escape the lips
Get drowned in the midst of panic
Displaced insecurities reflected
In the mirrors of one's computer screen.

The thoughts that burst forth
Through a maze of understanding
In retrospect
Maybe they were too intimidating.

The wisdom that is imparted
With  years of experience hedging the bet
Ignored for lack of foresight
Suppressed by pride.

The words thrash through the barrage
Placed to segregate bias from success
Reinforced by authoritarian airs
Creating sparks of fire in the environment.

Retrospection is a bitch.
Foresight, her snooty sister.
Ridicule and Presumption, their cruel dopplegangers
Making annual visits to collect their dues.

The course meandered by the words
Having escaped the lips
Encounter Retrospection, Foresight, Ridicule, and Presumption
They crash and burn with a magnificent hue
Blinding light pushes all other thoughts from the mind.
