Affinity

Blazing hot
Sweltering
Like embers
I stop and look at you
I inhale your presence
Your aura so white
Your thoughts
So damned clear to me
And your mind
so clearly diverted
And yet I linger
And yet I stand by you
Getting scalded by you
By the sparks flying out
Of you
Of your very being
And yet I stand by you
Longing
To feel your aura
Envelope me
Just once
